A Florida man has been arrested for allegedly making threats against former President Donald Trump, Sen. JD Vance (R-OH), and their families online, police shared.

Michael W. Wiseman was arrested on Friday by the Jupiter Police Department and charged with written threats to kill after a series of social media posts he allegedly made, a press release shared.

Detectives shared that Wiseman had posted multiple written threats on Facebook against Trump and Vance, the Republican nominees for president, this week. According to police, the posts also included threats “concerning bodily harm” against members of both men’s families.

“JPD was alerted to the threats through multiple online crime tips as well as residents who expressed their concern in person. After investigating the reports and the suspect’s Facebook account, JPD detectives found that Wiseman had made multiple threats,” the department wrote.

Jupiter is located around 20 miles north of Mar-a-Lago, Trump’s estate in Palm Beach.

Police shared that the investigation into the posts was made in coordination with the Palm Beach County State Attorney’s Office and the United States Secret Service.

Jupiter Police Maj. Don Hennessy shared that as of Friday night, Wiseman was being held in Palm Beach County Jail.
