The Maltz Jupiter Theatre will set the stage for a Broadway adaptation of 42nd Street March 12-31. Audiences will be transported to the glitz and glamour of 1930s Broadway in a spectacular revival of the beloved musical. The timeless production boasts an upbeat lineup of iconic songs, including “Lullaby of Broadway” and “We’re in the Money,” dazzling choreography, and a heartwarming story of dreams coming true.

The show follows the journey of Peggy Sawyer, a talented dancer from Allentown, Pennsylvania, who dreams of making it big on Broadway. When Peggy catches the eye of legendary director Julian Marsh, she is thrust into the spotlight as a chorus girl in the new Broadway musical Pretty Lady . However, when the show’s leading lady is injured, Peggy’s star begins to rise as she steps into the role of a lifetime.

42nd Street originally opened on Broadway at the Winter Garden Theatre on August 25, 1980, and became an overnight sensation. The production won two Tony Awards in 1981 for Best Musical and Best Choreography. The production’s success led to runs at the Majestic and St. James Theatres, ultimately achieving a remarkable 3,486 performances. In 2001, the first Broadway revival of 42nd Street delighted audiences at the Ford Center for the Performing Arts, earning critical acclaim and running for 1,524 performances.

Tickets start at $50. Single, group, and premium box office tickets for 42nd Street can be purchased by visiting go.jupitertheatre.org or calling 561-575-2223. The box office is open weekdays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
