One Direction Members Issue Joint Statement About Liam Payne's Death

The four surviving members of One Direction issued a joint response to the tragic death of their bandmate Liam Payne .

The “Teardrops” singer passed away in a tragic incident at the age of 31 on Wednesday (October 16) in Argentina.

On Thursday, Louis Tomlinson , Zayn Malik , Niall Horan and Harry Styles responded to the loss.

“We’re completely devastated by the news of Liam ’s passing. In time, and when everyone is able to, there will be more to say. But for now, we will take some time to grieve and process the loss of our brother, who we loved dearly. The memories we shared with him will be treasured forever. For now, our thoughts are with his family, his friends, and the fans who loved him alongside us. We will miss him terribly. We love you Liam ,” the group said in a statement that was shared with The Hollywood Reporter . It was signed “Louis, Zayn, Niall and Harry.”

Many others who knew Liam from his days with the boy band have also responded to the news .
