Jay Cutler Arrested for DUI & Gun Possession Weeks in Tennessee

Jay Cutler was arrested on Thursday (October 17) in Tennessee, according to reports.

The 41-year-old former NFL star was taken to the Williamson County Jail and released on bond, according to the Franklin Police Department. Details about the cause of his arrest were revealed.

News of Jay ‘s arrest comes shortly after his ex-wife Kristin Cavallari commented on a change to their custody agreement.

According to reporting by TMZ , Jay was arrested for a DUI. He also was accused of “failure to exercise due care, violation of implied consent law, and possession of a handgun while under the influence.”

Jay paid a $5,000 bond. Further details about the arrest and if he was charged remain a mystery.

Earlier this month on her Let’s Be Honest podcast, Kristin made a comment about the custody agreement that she and Jay have for their three children – sons Camden , 11, and Jaxon , 10, and daughter Saylor , 8.

“When I was dating last fall, I was still doing split custody with my ex and I had every other week off from my kids and that’s changed,” Kristin said. She did not provide additional clarity about the situation.

The couple announced their divorce in 2020 after 10 years of marriage. Kristin later referred to their separation as the “best thing I’ve ever done.”
