Ariana Grande is sharing her thoughts on that Wicked poster.

Earlier this month, Universal Studios released a poster for the movie that is modeled after the Broadway musical’s most iconic poster. In it, Ariana ‘s Glinda leans over to whisper in Elphaba [ Cynthia Erivo ]‘s ear. You can see the poster below.

Fans used AI to modify the image so that it was more accurate to the original. In doing so, they covered Cynthia ‘s eyes with her hat. She took to social media to deem the edits the “most offensive thing I have seen.”

On the red carpet at a recent event, Ariana weighed in on the changes.

“I think It’s very complicated because I find AI so conflicting and troublesome sometimes, but I think it’s such a massive adjustment period,” she told Variety. “This is something that… It’s so much bigger than us.”

She continued, saying, “The fans are gonna have fun and make their edits.”

She agreed that sometimes the edits can “go too far,” adding, “I have so much respect for my sister Cynthia, and I love her so much.”

Did you know that four other big actresses auditioned for Ariana ‘s part ?
