    Coweta, Oklahoma is a real Main Street America

    This little city is one of those places that everyone knows everyone. If you aren’t from around this area don’t worry you will be treated as if you are. Broadway is where the special events take place everything from car shows to craft shows and holidays events. Coweta is a located halfway between Tulsa, and Fort Gibson Lake.

    The Broadway District has a variety of shops and businesses. You can park at one end of Broadway and take a stroll down the sidewalks and take time to visit the unique shops that feature everything from candies, healthy options, food items that are homemade, local artists, and craftsmen. There is sure to be something that you can’t leave without.

    If you work up an appetite there are plenty of choices, be sure and visit one of the local eateries. Kim's Coney Shop has been a staple for the locals for years the coneys are legendary. Goodfellas Pizza has awesome sandwiches, and you should try the Garlic Chicken Pizza, yummy! 1843 is an upscale restaurant that serves gourmet steaks, chicken and pastas and has a fully stocked Bar.

    Easter is just around the corner and the Downtown Broadway is hosting Hopping Down Broadway, April 8 from 1:00p.m-3:00p.m. This is a free event so bring the kids with their Easter Baskets and make some memories. Business owners and others are participating in this event they will be handing out filled Easter eggs from Trunks and Businesses. There is plenty of parking and you can make it day for the kids and for the kid at heart.
