    Texas Trash Pie: Delicious!

    2023-11-16

This article was witten with the assistance of AI.

In my search for delicious and unique desserts I was certainly intrigued when I came across Texas Trash Pie. The name got my attention and I had to try it out! Texas Trash Pie is easy to make and is a great dessert to make for a party or potluck, and it can be made well ahead of time.

When making a recipe I always give credit if I know where the recipe came from. Although the recipe came from my “Taste of Home” Cookbook one thing that continually popped up was where the recipe originated. I have never been to Round Top, Texas but there is a family that owns a restaurant called Royers Round Top Cafe. According to my research the cafe is still open and they boast about serving large slices of pies. I’d like to try these Texas size slices of pie so I may have to make a road trip and visit.

The recipe is exactly how it was in the cookbook, and believe me, it is easy and smells so good when it’s baking..
