There's nothing quite like the comforting aroma of cinnamon and apples filling up your kitchen on a crisp fall day. If you're looking for a delectable dessert that is both easy to make and absolutely delicious, then look no further than the Amish Cinnamon Apple Flop. This rustic and traditional dessert is usually made with just cinnamon, but I feel it’s not really fall without apples. I had a few apples I needed to use up, so I decided to chop them up to add some more deliciousness to the recipe.

Originating from the Amish community, the Cinnamon Apple Flop is a simple yet irresistible dessert that is perfect for any occasion. Whether you're going to a potluck, family dinner or simply looking to treat yourself, this dessert is guaranteed to please. With just a handful of ingredients and a few easy steps, you can whip up this delectable treat in no time. So go ahead, grab those apples and cinnamon, and get ready to indulge in a slice of homemade goodness that will leave you coming back for more.

    Ingredients:

    1 cup sugar

    2 cups flour

    2 tsp baking powder

    1 tbsp melted butter

    1 cup milk

1 cup chopped apples tossed with a little flour.

Extras: flour, brown sugar, cinnamon and butter for top

    Directions:

    Preheat oven to 350*

Grease and flour 2, 9” pie pans.

Sift together sugar, flour, and baking powder.

Add butter, and milk to the flour and sugar mixture, and stir until well blended.

Add a little flour to the chopped apples and toss.

Fold the apples into the batter.

Divide the batter into the pies. Top with flour, cinnamon and brown sugar. Cut some cold butter into chunks about 5 tbsp. Push into the batter a few inches apart. This makes holes and later makes it gooey as it bakes.

Bake at 350* for about thirty minutes. Let cool and cut while still warm.

    Enjoy!!!
