Cedar Rapids Woman Dies While Hiking in Colorado
A Cedar Rapids woman has died while hiking in Western Colorado this week. A heat dome blanketed many Western states with temperatures reaching triple digits. CBS2 reports that 54-year-old Marsha Cook collapsed around the 2-mile mark on a hiking trail at Colorado National Monument. Officials did not share any further details regarding the cause of death but urged other hikers in the area to use caution in the extreme heat.
