Muni Long Separates from Husband of 9 Years: ‘I Don’t Have Time for Drama’

Songstress Muni Long and her husband of nine years, music producer Raysean Hairston, have separated.

Although generally private about her personal life, the 35-year-old singer revealed the split in an interview on Real 92.3’s The Cruz Show on Thursday. Known for her lovergirl hits like ‘Made for Me’ and ‘Hrs & Hrs’, she admits that her music is pulled from real experiences, and that her new song ‘Ruined Me’ was inspired by split.

“This is one of the most amazing times in my life, and if you can’t celebrate that with me…I’m so sorry I’m going to have to leave you behind. You wake up everyday mad…there’s literally nothing to be upset about.” -Muni Long

She goes on to explain how the relationship was inflicting upon her pursuit of happiness and purpose, and implies that he wasn’t supportive of her career. Muni makes it clear that “drama” and “nonsense” are two things she has no time for at this point in her life.
