TxDOT hosting several open house meetings to talk about their plans for I-14 roadway
HUNTSVILLE, Texas — The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) in Bryan is looking into a future I-14 Central Texas Corridor from Bell County to Walker County. Man arrested in Navasota after evening chase ends with car colliding into home, drugs and stolen gun found
NAVASOTA, Texas — A man was arrested in Navasota after an evening chase in the city on Oct. 7, according to a release from authorities. Wilbert Sargent Jr., 41, attempted to flee officers after they attempted to stop him in the 500 block of West Dickson Street, but took off, beginning a short chase. R U OK program aims to care for elderly residents who live alone without caretakers
BRAZOS COUNTY, Texas — Brazos County has a large population of senior citizens and now those who live alone in rural areas have a new resource they can call on. “Well I read about a program called, Elder Orphans, in California, about six years ago, and it’s a call-out program for seniors who live alone, and I thought it would be a great program for our county,” explained Precinct 3 Commissioner, Nancy Berry who brought the idea to local law enforcement.
