ST. LOUIS — Chilling, loud and rapid gunfire was caught on video in the 6900 block of Alabama Avenue near Blow Avenue in south St. Louis' Dutchtown neighborhood. Marguerite McGhee, 67, said on July 14 and July 21, someone in a black car rode down her street and repeatedly shot up her home.
General Motors puts brakes on work at Wentzville plant
(Wentzville, MO) – Assembly line work has come to a screeching halt at the General Motors plant in Wentzville. KMOX Radio in St. Louis reports that there’s a strike at a Wentzville supplier, called Lear. The St. Louis area factory employs about 500 union members who make parts like seats for GM vehicles.

Keystone Construction to Build Huge Sports Complex in Chesterfield, Mo.
CHESTERFIELD, Mo. Keystone Construction Company, in tandem with architect Gray Design Group and civil engineer Stock & Associates, have been selected to build a $60 million sports complex just west of St. Louis, Mo. that is said to be one of the biggest in the Midwest. Construction will begin in October.
Carthage Council sets date for impeachment hearing against mayor
CARTHAGE, Mo. — The Carthage City Council votes to proceed with the impeachment hearing against Mayor, Dan Rife. During another heated meeting Tuesday night (7/23), council members voted 6-to-3 to follow the advice of attorney, Paul Martin — special counsel to the city — and move forward with setting a date for an impeachment hearing.
Royals sign No. 6 pick
The Royals announced the signing of sixth overall pick Jac Caglianone. Bonus terms were not disclosed. The selection comes with a slot value of roughly $7.21M. Caglianone is a two-way player from the University of Florida. His higher upside professionally is as a position player. Caglianone topped 30 home runs in each of his final two seasons in Gainesville. He hit 35 longballs — second among Division I hitters behind No. 3 pick Charlie Condon’s 37 — with a .419/.544/.875 slash line as a junior. Caglianone walked at an 18.4 percent clip while striking out only 8.2 percent of the time. He has top-of-the-scale raw power that gives him the chance to hit in the middle of a lineup.

Pickleball Concepts On Back Burner For Osage Beach For Now
The concept of pickleball coming to an Osage Beach city park anytime sooner than later is put on the back burner…at least for now.
