First ever rapid disaster declaration made in Kalamazoo County
KALAMAZOO, MI -- The U.S. Small Business Administration has issued a rapid disaster declaration in Kalamazoo County following severe storms on May 7. Businesses, renters and homeowners in Kalamazoo County can request low-interest loans to repair or replace real estate, personal property and business assets damaged or destroyed in the storm. The option for the SBA to give a “rapid declaration” was created in January, according to a press release from the governor’s office.
