Detours on both sides of US-131 south of Schoolcraft begin Monday
SCHOOLCRAFT, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Starting Monday another road construction project in Kalamazoo County will cause more travel headaches. Beginning July 15, the Michigan Department of Transportation will close US-131 in each direction south of Schoolcraft to rebuild a railroad crossing. The work is part of the two-year, $51 million project to rebuild and repave 13.4 miles of US-131 from the Rocky River in Three Rivers to Shaver Road in Schoolcraft.
