2 arrested in alleged kidnapping, violent assault in Kalamazoo County
KALAMAZOO COUNTY, MI -- Two people were arrested and they are expected to face charges related to a violent assault that seriously injured a female resident of Kalamazoo. In the early morning hours of Monday, July 1, the Kalamazoo resident was violently assaulted by two attackers in Comstock Township, the Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.

KALAMAZOO COUNTY, MI -- About 118 miles of road in Kalamazoo County are in “poor” condition. That’s about 20% of the 577 miles assessed by the state. Michigan is required to evaluate its primary, federal-aid-eligible roadways every two years using a 1-to-10 grading system known as the Pavement Surface Evaluation and Rating (PASER) system. Local roads are often assessed as well, though they don’t have the same biennial requirement.
