Allen County S.W.A.T Team Apprehends Barricaded Suspect Monday Afternoon
A Lima man was arrested after a search warrant was served Monday at a residence in the 4000 block of Willow Street in American Township in Allen County. According to a release from the Allen County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were able to confirm that 51-year-old Jonathan Fugatt was in the residence and had barricaded himself inside.

The 2024 Auglaize County Junior Fair King and Queen crowned
WAPAKONETA, OH (WLIO) - New royalty has been coronated Monday night at the Auglaize County Fair in Wapakoneta! Braiden Lee was crowned the 2024 Auglaize County Junior Fair King, while Chloe Pax was honored as the Auglaize County Junior Fair Queen. Over the years, the king and queen have been involved with the Auglaize County Junior Fair Board. Braiden has shown chickens, ducks, goats, and feeder cows, while Chloe has shown rabbits and goats in addition to completing nutrition and special interest projects. Following the coronation, we talked with the new king and queen about what it means to receive the crown.

Senior expo coming to Ottawa Elementary
OTTAWA — The 2024 Putnam County Senior Expo will be held from 8:30 a.m. to noon Friday, Aug. 2 at Ottawa Elementary School, 123 Putnam Parkway, Ottawa. The free event will include a complimentary breakfast, health screenings, exhibitors and free medication disposal. Shuttle service will be available during the event, and door prizes will be awarded.
New executive director for Big Brothers Big Sisters sets sights on growing organization
LIMA, OH (WLIO) - Big Brothers Big Sisters of West Central Ohio has a new director and some new goals for their organization. Portia Smith took over as the new executive director this month. She brings extensive experience in the nonprofit sector to the mentoring organization. Big Brothers Big Sisters offers community-based mentoring programs and programs in school districts in Allen, Putnam, and Hardin counties. However, she would like to see the organization grow even further to help more kids.
