Junction City Animal Shelter Director Vanessa Gray has confirmed via a social media announcement that unfortunately, starting on Friday, our shelter will be CLOSED at a minimum of 2 weeks. Thursday, we had a dog test positive for Parvovirus. He had been in and around our shelter, therefore, we will have to monitor all other dogs for the next 2 weeks for symptoms.

CIVIC, or the Community Inspired Violence Intervention Coalition, is a community-based collective, addressing the systems causing homicides and gun violence in Shawnee County.
