TTU grieves the passing of former Human Science dean

LUBBOCK, Texas — Texas Tech’s College of Health and Human Sciences is grieving the loss of Linda Hoover, one of its longtime deans, who passed away on Sunday at 72.

Dean Hoover was a part of the College of Health and Human Sciences for nearly 20 years, from 2001 to 2019. The university referred to her as a “trailblazing figure” whose impact on the university was “nothing short of legendary.”

Dean Hoover’s family requested instead of flowers; they would like the public to donate to the Dr. Linda C. Hoover Fund to support the College of Health and Human Sciences.
