LUBBOCK, Texas — Texas Tech track athlete Caleb Dean announced on social media that he has signed a professional deal with Adidas following his career at Texas Tech.

Dean’s accolades deserve the professional spotlight for the 2023 and 2024 outdoor and indoor seasons.

He was among the country’s best 400m hurdlers and 110m hurdlers and became a national champion in June when he clocked the second-fastest time in NCAA history.

Dean was named one of three Bowerman Award finalists for the 2024 season and the USTFCCCA Men’s National Track Athlete of the Year for the 2024 season.

Dean wrote on social media, “Tough times don’t last! Grateful to start my professional track career with Adidas. Ready to shock the world next year.”

The former Texas Tech athlete made his Diamond League debut in Monaco and finished 8th with a 48.46.
