Lubbock Animal Shelter to participate in Clear the Shelter event

LUBBOCK, Texas — The Lubbock Animal Shelter will participate in the national Clear the Shelter event on Saturday, August 24 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the LAS Adoption Center, at 3323 Southeast Loop 289.

All adoptions are free at the event. Animals will come fixed, microchipped, dewormed, flea and tick prevention and up to date with shots.

The event will have food trucks, vendors and goodie bags while supplies last.

This is the seventh year LAS has participated in the event sponsored by Hill’s Science Diet. The organization will accept donations to United Way at the event.

Clear the Shelter is an annual, nationwide pet adoption campaign with a goal to get as many pets out of the shelter as possible.
