One person pronounced deceased after rollover in Gaines County

GAINES COUNTY, Texas — Robert James Gibson, 57, of Hobbs, was pronounced dead after an accident that occurred in Gaines County Saturday night.

The Texas Department of Public Safety says Gibson was traveling westbound on Nadine Road at an unsafe speed for a curve in the roadway. Gibson then veered into a north barrow ditch, causing the vehicle to roll over.

Gibson was then transported to Covenant Health in Hobbs, where he was pronounced deceased by medical staff.

This crash remains under investigation and Texas DPS says no further information is available at this time.
