Durango’s Restaurant reopens in Lubbock on Wednesday

LUBBOCK, Texas — A beloved restaurant, Durango’s, will reopen in Lubbock on Wednesday, an employee told EverythingLubbock.com .

However, the grand opening was cut short Wednesday at noon because their system was not equipped to serve so many people, causing it to crash.

Restaurant owner, Adriel Astorga, said as issues kept arising, “It’s just a bunch of things that we need to get work in and fix things.”

But even after all the adversity, Astorga said having these issues is a blessing.

“You know, but it’s been worth it. My family’s been doing this for a long time. I’m just happy to pick up where they left off, So I just felt like God stands by, you know, that he knew what he was doing and now we’re back and it’s going to be better.”

The restaurant will be located at 4102 34th Street. Durango’s will be open from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday, 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Sunday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and it will be closed Mondays.

After closing in 2018, the restaurant is excited to reopen and serve the community with delicious Mexican food again.
