One person hurt after shots fired in Lubbock early Wednesday morning

LUBBOCK, Texas — The Lubbock Police Department confirmed that an early morning shots fired call left one person with moderate injuries on Wednesday.

LPD said officers were called to the 6500 block of Temple Avenue around 2:15 a.m.

According to LPD, the victim was taken to the hospital by EMS. Police said details about the circumstances leading up to the shooting were not immediately available.

The incident remains under investigation, LPD said.
