When is the South Plains Fair?

LUBBOCK, Texas — September is just days away, which means it is almost time for the South Plains Fair.

The South Plains Fair is slated for September 20 through 28, 2024, according to its website .

The fairgrounds will be open from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 8 a.m. to midnight on Fridays and Saturdays. The carnival will be open from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 3 p.m. to midnight on Fridays and 11 a.m. to midnight Saturdays and Sundays.

Below are specials throughout fair week.

• Thursday, September 19th: Buck-A-Ride Night All rides $1 a piece from 6 p.m. -11 p.m.
• Sunday, September 22nd: Family Day, kids 17 and under admitted free before 9 p.m.
• Monday, September 23rd: Veterans Day, any veteran gets in the gate for $5.
• Tuesday, September 24th: Senior Citizen’s Day, anyone 60 years of age or older gets in the gate for $5.
• $2 Tuesday: Each ride is $2 a piece
• Thursday, September 26th: College Night present your current college ID and get in the gate for $5.
• Thursday, September 26th: Wristband Day $40 Wristband to ride unlimited rides from 3 p.m. -11 p.m.
