New Traffic Signal on 82nd St. and Quincy Ave. to be activated on Thursday

LUBBOCK, Texas — A new traffic signal will be activated at the intersection of 82nd Street and Quincy Avenue on Thursday Sept. 26.

The new traffic signal is set to increase safety for traffic turning onto and off of Quincy Avenue.

It will also provide safe pedestrian and bicycle crossing of 82nd Street.

A press release from the City of Lubbock mentioned city crews will remain on site after the signal is activated to finish any remaining work at the intersection.

The city urges motorists to slow down and eliminate distractions in work zones for the safety of everyone on the road.
