    ‘Pledge allegiance’ announced as theme for ninth annual Veterans Parade of Lubbock

    LUBBOCK, Texas — The ninth annual Veterans Parade of Lubbock will be held on Saturday, November 9 from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in Downtown Lubbock.

    The theme for the 2024 parade, hosted by Latino Lubbock Magazine, is “Pledge allegiance.” Parade-goers are encouraged to fly their American flags and pay tribute to veterans and the men and women who serve in the U.S. Armed Forces.

    Lubbock ISD teacher on leave after middle school students receive burn injuries

    Lubbock Fire Chief Shaun Forgerson will be the Grand Marshall for the parade. Forgerson is a United States Marine Corps veteran.

    The parade will begin at the east parking lot of First Baptist Church on Broadway and head east down Broadway, then north on Avenue M to the Civic Center parking lot. Participants were urged to enter through Avenue V.
