Plemons-Stinnett-Phillips CISD on lockdown Wednesday, officials say students and staff ‘staying safe and being cautious’

STINNETT, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) – Plemons-Stinnett-Phillips CISD officials issued an update regarding the Wednesday morning lockdown status for the district.

While there was a threat made to the elementary campus, officials said that an investigation confirmed there was no active shooter at the campus on Wednesday. The district noted that it would remain in lockdown “until all police have given the all clear.”

STINNETT, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) – According to a social media update from school officials, Plemons-Stinnett-Phillips Consolidated Independent School District was on lockdown as of 12 p.m. on Wednesday.

Plemons-Stinnett-Phillips CISD officials noted that the district was on lockdown and that the situation was under investigation, and that students and staff were “staying safe and being cautious.”

“Please refrain from phoning and for safety reasons please do not come up to the school,” said officials.
