City of Clovis hosts 2024 New Mexico Municipal League conference

CLOVIS, N.M. (KAMR/KCIT) – The City of Clovis announced that it will host the New Mexico Municipal League’s annual conference from Wednesday through Friday, during which around 400 government officials from around the state are expected to attend.

Officials detailed that attendees will participate in multiple sessions and activities during the conference that have been arranged by the New Mexico Municipal League, a nonprofit and nonpartisan association representing New Mexico’s cities, towns and villages.

On Tuesday, organizers said that attendees will assist with a Community Service Project at the Salvation Army. Business sessions are expected to be held throughout the conference at the Clovis Civic Center covering different areas of government operations, and attendees will also attend subsection committee and business meetings. Further, activities on Wednesday evening have been planned to showcase the downtown district.

“The City of Clovis looks forward to welcoming governmental officials from throughout the state, and for the opportunity to showcase our community,” said Clovis Mayor Michael Morris, “We have so many items to discuss, including resolutions to move forward during the 2025 legislative session.”
