CLOVIS, N.M. (KAMR/KCIT) — Clovis High School was briefly placed under a “Secure & Teach” lockdown on Monday afternoon at around 1 p.m. and a second one placed at 2 p.m.

According to school officials, the first “Secure & Teach” was implemented due to police activity in the area surrounding campus and lasted less than 5 minutes until an all-clear was received from law enforcement.

Officials said a second “Secure and Teach,” was implemented shortly after for school officials to work with law enforcement to investigate comments reported by students.

Both “Secure and Teach,” were lifted and regular activity resumed

Officials encouraged those looking for more information about safety procedures to visit the Clovis Municipal School District website.
