Amarillo ISD warns of water main break, road closure near Tascosa High School

AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) – Amarillo Independent School District advised community members on Friday morning that traffic near Tascosa High School was impacted by “major street repairs” after a Thursday night water main break on Wolflin Avenue.

According to Amarillo ISD officials, a water main broke on Thursday night on the north lane westbound on Wolflin Avenue, causing the road to be closed on Friday morning for repairs. Officials noted that Westlawn from Wolflin to the north side of the west student parking lot at Tascosa High School would be closed on Friday for street repairs.

However, despite the water main break and street repairs needed, Amarillo ISD officials noted that the school’s water was not impacted as of early Friday morning.
