City officials gear up for State of the City address

AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — City of Amarillo officials are set to host the State of the City address from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

The State of the City, is an annual event highlighting Amarillo’s achievements and ongoing efforts.

Officials stated that the event will feature city leaders including the police, fire and other city departments, who will give presentations.

According to officials, the event will also feature performances by local artists Lindsey Lane and Andy Chase and the Rotor City Rhythm Cats.

Furthermore, officials note that local sponsors have paid for all expenses for this event. The event will feature ten food trucks and free water and tea provided by Water Still.

The State of the City will be at the Pavilion at the Santa Fe Depot, located at 401 S. Grant St. The event is free to the public.
