Cactus city officials set to host grand opening for JBS Field

CACTUS, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — Little League in Cactus will be hitting a grand slam on Saturday when local elected officials and JBS team members gather for the grand opening of JBS Field, according to a JBS announcement.

According to officials, the grand opening ceremony will include brief remarks at the new JBS Field from Aldo Gallegos, Cactus City Manager; Donna Estrada, JBS Cactus HR Manager; and Jacob Montoya, JBS Complex Engineer.

Following the grand opening remarks, attendees will have the opportunity to watch a kickball tournament at the new JBS Field and a national anthem performance.

Officials noted that JBS invested $400,000 through its Hometown Strong program to make JBS Field in Cactus possible and has invested over $17 million since 2020 in Texas through the Hometown Strong initiative.
