Cowboys Dak Prescott signs biggest contract in NFL history

AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — Ahead of the 2024-25 NFL season the Dallas Cowboys make Dak Prescott the highest-paid player in NFL history after signing him to a 4-year $240 million contract extension.

According to ESPN, the extension features a $60 million yearly average which is the most in NFL history, passing the previous high of $55 million.

Sources added that the deal also includes $231 million guaranteed topping Deshaun Watson for the most in league history with the highest fully guaranteed deal. Prescott broke another record with this contract also including a $80 million signing bonus, passing the previous high of $75 million according to ESPN.

Prescott is now set to run the offense for Dallas through 2028, along side Cee Dee Lamb who recently signed a 4-year contract that made him the second highest paid wide receiver in the NFL.
