    Amarillo Police Department arrests 5 for online solicitation of minor

    AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) – The Amarillo Police Department arrested five people after detectives from the Special Victims Unit, joined by other officers from the Proactive Criminal Enforcement Unit (PACE), motors and other CID units conducted an online sting operation targeting alleged sexual predators in August.

    According to officials from APD, the operation netted five arrests for alleged Online Solicitation of a Minor which is a second-degree felony. Those arrested include:

    • 40-year-old Orlando Brown arrested for alleged Online Solicitation of a Minor
    • 24-year-old Dyshaun Johnson arrested for alleged Online Solicitation of a Minor
    • 42-year-old Tariq Carter arrested for alleged Online Solicitation of a Minor
    • 47-year-old Paul Priebe arrested for alleged Online Solicitation of a Minor
    • 29-year-old Jesus Pina arrested for alleged Online Solicitation of a Minor, Warrant-Probation Violation, and Possession Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1, 1-4G

    APD officials stated that the APD Special Victims Unit conducts these operations throughout the year in an effort to protect the community.
