    West Nile virus cases reported in Potter, Dallam Counties

    AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — Officials in Potter County report that one case of West Nile was reported to have been transmitted through a mosquito in the county.

    A second case in the area was also reported out of Dallam County from an unspecified source.

    According to the Centers for Control, West Nile virus disease is caused by a virus spread primarily to people through infected mosquito bites.
