1 arrested in Carson County for drug possession

CARSON COUNTY (KAMR/KCIT) — The Texas Department of Public Safety said it seized over 16 pounds of suspected cocaine and nearly two pounds of suspected fentanyl after a Texas Highway Patrol Trooper stopped a vehicle in Carson County on Friday.

According to DPS officials, 40-year-old Stephane Davis of Roanoke, VA, was arrested and booked into the Carson County Jail for felony possession of a controlled substance.

Texas DPS said a DPS Trooper stopped a 2025 Chevrolet Malibu traveling east on I-40 near Conway for a traffic violation. The Trooper said he found multiple plastic-wrapped blocks of suspected cocaine and one bag of suspected fentanyl in the vehicle.
