Amarillo Police Department investigating Tuesday evening homicide

AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — The Amarillo Police Department’s Homicide Unit announced it is investigating a shooting that occurred late Tuesday night.

According to APD officials, officers responded to the 500 block of Jason Avenue around 11:30 p.m. Tuesday. Upon arrival, officers found 26 year old Tiray James Evans had been shot, and died at the scene.
