Several incidents of weapons at HISD schools today – One involving a student stabbed on campus

HOUSTON (KIAH) — According to our news partners at KTRH and ABC 13, Houston ISD’s Sterling High School and Bellaire High School faced significant incidents earlier today.

HISD – Sterling High School

According to our TV partners who deliver our news at 9 p.m. every night, a stabbing happened at Sterling High School around 10 a.m. Wednesday morning. It allegedly happened during a fight between two students on campus, prompting a brief lockdown. One student was taken to the hospital in unknown condition, and the suspect, also a student, has been taken into custody. More about this story on our news at 9 p.m. tonight. Join us!

HISD – Bellaire High School

Also according to our TV partners who deliver our news at 9 p.m. every night, Bellaire High School received a bomb threat around 12:15 p.m. Wednesday afternoon, causing students to remain in their classrooms while police investigated. After a thorough search of the building, HISD PD determined there was no threat, and the campus was cleared by 2:20 p.m. Classes resumed as normal, according to an email from the school principal.
