Amarillo Calf Fry Festival at Starlight Ranch to benefit The Bridge

AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — The Bridge Children’s Advocacy Center announced it will be working with Big Texan and Starlight Ranch for an event to benefit local children and help make the Panhandle a safe place for them.

The Amarillo Calf Fry festival will take place at the Starlight Ranch on Oct. 12 and a portion of proceeds from each ticket sold will be donated to the Bridge.

“We want to help make the Texas Panhandle a safe place for children,” says Big Texan and Starlight Ranch owner Bobby Lee, “We can’t wait for folks to come out to Starlight Ranch, enjoy a Texas culinary delight and some great music, too!”

The event will feature the “Motley Crue,” touring tribute band “Motley 2.”

“This event brings together foodies and thrill-seekers from all over to celebrate this ‘unconventional’ delicacy. Live music, drinks, a friendly atmosphere – guests are sure to have a great time and make some great memories. Chicken strips will be available for those with a less adventurous palette,” said officials.

Doors for the event open at 5:30 p.m. and the show begins at 8 p.m. Tickets can be found on the Big Texan website with prices ranging from $15 to $25.
