    WTAMU honors distinguished alumni at ‘The Phoenix’ event

    CANYON, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — West Texas A&M University honored its distinguished alumni ahead of its Homecoming Parade and game.

    The event was a celebration of WT’s Distinguished Alumni Class of 2024. “The Phoenix” was emceed by KAMR Local 4 Anchor Andy Justus.

    The event honored Dr. James L. Cornette, a mathematician and paleontologist; Brenda Schroer, an esteemed woman in the energy industry; and Clay Stribling, President and CEO of the Amarillo Area Foundation.
