Across State Lines: Utah Removes Rodriguez as Coach
The expansion Utah Royals have had a rough go of their first season back in the NWSL. The Royals sit with a 2-11-2 record through 15 games, at the bottom of the NWSL standings with eight points. With them as an expansion team, success likely wasn’t guaranteed to begin with, but the disappointing season has cost head coach, and former FC Kansas City and KC Current player, Amy Rodriguez her job. Rodriguez was removed from her first professional head coaching job. It certainly seems like a harsh decision given Utah’s roster in their expansion season.
