Minneapolis unveils George Floyd Square street design concepts
MINNEAPOLIS— On Tuesday, July 23, the City of Minneapolis debuted three street concepts and five site ideas for George Floyd Square. These initial concepts and ideas are part of the City’s ongoing community engagement efforts aimed at developing a comprehensive vision for the square by the end of 2024. The vision will include a preferred concept for the street design as well as ideas for the use and layout of the Peoples’ Way property, a former gas station at 3744 Chicago Avenue. The City purchased the property in 2023.

Final Day of the 2024 Wright County Fair
The 2024 Wright County Fair concludes today, but not before a number of activities and fun on the grounds. Sunday events include a final armband day and bike giveaway on the midway, Memories of Elvis at 4:30 in the entertainment tent, the second demolition derby of the weekend at 5:30 in the grandstand, plus a final look at all the exhibits and tasting of all the fair foods. The Sunday cash drawings are scheduled for 8 PM.

They out hit them twelve to four, including nine players that collected hits and eight that were credited for a RBI. Their starting pitcher was Will Thompson, he threw a complete game to earn the win. He gave up four singles, no runs, one walk and he recorded one strikeout.
