    KANSAS CITY MAN CHARGED FOR STEALING IN CARROLL COUNTY

    A Kansas City man was charged after the Carrollton Police Department responding to a trespassing call on Tuesday, July 16.

    According to a probable cause statement, police responded to a call from the victim, who reported to seeing the suspect, identified as Brent Heller, break into his shed and take an arm full of stuff. The victim told authorities that Heller allegedly brandished a handgun before leaving the property with the stolen items.

    Officers searched the property and found a pickup truck and a painted U-Haul trailer, which was reported stolen. Authorities confirmed the vehicle belonged to Heller and conducted a search of the truck, locating two hypodermic syringes and a glass smoking pipe that field tested positive for methamphetamine.

    Court documents say Heller has been charged with felonies for robbery in the first degree, burglary in the first degree, armed criminal action, receiving stolen property, and possession of a controlled substance. Bond was set at $25,000 cash only.

    No court dates have been set at this time.
