Heart postpones 2024 tour following singer’s cancer diagnosis

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — American rock band Heart has announced that the band’s 2024 Royal Flush Tour has been postponed due to medical reasons, including an October show at T-Mobile Center.

This announcement came just minutes before Heart’s lead singer, Ann Wilson, announced a cancer diagnosis via X.

Wilson replied to the post stating that she’d recently undergone an operation to remove “something that, as it turns out, was cancerous.” Wilson claimed that the operation went smoothly, and she is “feeling great.” However, her doctors advised her to take preventative action with chemotherapy, which will keep her off the stage for the remainder of the year.

The band claims that fans should hang on to their tickets, and Wilson says she “absolutely plan(s) to be back on the stage in 2025.” in her statement.

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inducted band was set to play over 50 stadiums and arenas on their Royal Flush Tour with supporting guest Cheap Trick. One of those shows was to be held at T-Mobile Center in Kansas City on October 4, 2024.

Heart is an American rock and roll band founded in Seattle in the early to mid-1970s by sisters Ann and Nancy Wilson. They rose to stardom in the late 1970s following hits like 1976’s “Magic Man” and 1977’s “Barracuda”.
