KANSAS City, Mo. — A new bobblehead came out Friday to commemorate a legend.

It’s the new Satchel Paige bobblehead by the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame. It’s available starting Friday to celebrate his birthday.

Things to do in Kansas City this weekend July 5-7

It commemorates Paige’s pitching performance at age 59 for the Kansas City A’s against the Red Sox when he came out of retirement to pitch three legendary innings.

He used the rocking chair because he didn’t want to sit in the below-ground dugout, saying, “I’m close enough to below the surface as is.”

The collectible is $30. Head to the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame website to buy one.
