    Two injured in overnight shooting in Kansas City: police

    KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Kansas City Police Department is investigating a shooting that left two people hospitalized Monday night in Kansas City, Mo.

    Southbound I-435 closes overnight after deadly motorcycle crash

    According to KCPD, at about 10:35 p.m., officers responded to the area of 14th Street and Truman Road near Interstate 70 (I-70) on a reported shooting.

    Upon arrival, officers found two victims suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Both were taken to a hospital by EMS.

    According to KCPD, both victims were reported to have non-life-threatening injuries.

    KCPD detectives are still investigating what led up to the shooting and who was involved. They encourage anyone who was in the area at the time or saw something related to the shooting to call the KCPD Assault Squad or the TIPS Hotline.
