    KCPD attempting to ID possible suspect in June 2023 homicide

    KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Kansas City, Missouri Police Department is attempting to identify a person possibly connected to a homicide that happened in June 2023.

    The incident happened just after 11 p.m. on Saturday, June 17, 2023. KCPD officers were responding to a double shooting in the area of E. 67th Street and Richmond Avenue.

    When officers arrived on scene they found a man dead in a home and a woman in critical condition at a nearby fire station.

    The man killed was later identified as 45-year-old Rickey A. Cubit.

    The woman was taken to a hospital.

    Detectives are asking for help from the public in identifying the person pictured below who is believed to have information regarding the homicide.
