Sporting KC transfers forward to Serbian club FK Čukarički

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Sporting KC has transferred forward Marinos Tzionis to FK Čukarički in the Serbian Superliga.

Tzionis appeared in 64 matches through three seasons for Sporting KC. He accumulated six goals and two assists in all competitions and two goals and one assist in MLS matches.

He joined Sporting in 2022, coming from Cypriot side Omonia Nicosia as a U22 Initiative signing.

Sporting KC will begin Leagues Cup 2024 on Sunday against the Chicago Fire at 8 p.m. at Children’s Mercy Park.
