Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker, who is open about his Christian values, was shocked by the 2024 Olympics opening ceremony, which featured drag queens recreating Jesus Christ’s the Last Supper.

“This is crazy,” the pro football player, 29, wrote via his Instagram Story over a clip of the segment Friday.

He then quoted a bible verse that reads in part, “Be not deceived, God is not mocked.”

Butker then shared via X Friday the full verse, which is taken from the book of Galatians and reads, “Be not deceived, God is not mocked. For what things a man shall sow, those also shall he reap.

“For he that soweth in his flesh, of the flesh also shall reap corruption. But he that soweth in the spirit, of the spirit shall reap life everlasting.”

Several people agreed with the NFL star, including Piers Morgan, who posted on X Saturday, “Btw, what the f*ck was all this about? A drag queen mockery of the Last Supper at the Olympics?”

The talk show host added, “Would they have mocked any other religion like this? Appalling decision.”

A Paris 2024 spokesperson tells Page Six in response to the backlash, “Clearly, there was never an intention to show disrespect towards any religious group or belief. On the contrary, each of the tableaux in the Paris 2024 Opening Ceremony were intended to celebrate community and tolerance.”

The rep then explains that artistic director Thomas Jolly “took inspiration from Leonardo Da Vinci’s famous painting” of the Last Supper for the ceremony’s “Festivities” segment to “create the setting.”

“He is not the first artist to make a reference to what is a world-famous work of art,” the spokesperson concludes. “From Andy Warhol to the Simpsons, many have done it before him.”

Some sided with the Olympics committee and instead slammed Butker and Morgan, 59, for their opinions.

“Pretty funny watching Harrison Butker, Piers Morgan and others make fools of themselves attacking an artist’s rendition of… an artist’s rendition… at the Olympics Opening Ceremony,” one user wrote on X .

“And really, it’s simply because they just don’t like guys in drag.”

Another agreed , “Seriously with what Butker just said about the drag queens on the Olympics is disgusting and the only thing that is CRAZY IS THE FACT HE THINKS ITS OK TO SAY THAT @harrisonbutker @Chiefs Need to send him packing ASAP.”

Butker’s outspokenness landed him in hot water in May when he delivered a controversial commencement speech at Benedictine College that many deemed to be “sexist” and “anti-LGBTQIA.”

“Things like abortion, IVF, surrogacy, euthanasia as well as a growing support for degenerate cultural values and media all stem from the pervasiveness of disorder,” he told graduates at the time.

Butker then compared Pride Month to a “deadly sin” and said he thought the women in the crowd — despite getting their diplomas — were likely “most excited about [their] marriage and the children [they] will bring into this world.”

He also praised his wife, Isabelle Butker, and said that even she would admit “her life truly started when she started living her vocation as a wife and as a mother.”

NBC Sports Boston anchor Trenni Casey went viral for slamming Harrison’s words as “dehumanizing” and “hateful,” stating he had spent “20 minutes espousing the greatest hits of bigotry, antisemitism, misogyny, homophobia [and] anti-diversity.”

GLAAD also bashed the speech, telling Page Six it “was not only a clear miss, it was inaccurate, ill-informed and woefully out of step with Americans about Pride, LGBTQ people and women.”

However, the father of two has since defended his speech and others, including Chiefs heiress Gracie Hunt and teammate Travis Kelce, have said he is entitled to his own views .
