Maui Fire Department extinguishes brushfire in Wailuku area
WAILUKU, Hawaii (Island News) -- Maui firefighters have completely extinguished a Wailuku brushfire in the Iao Stream and Halekii Pihana Heiau areas. The fire lasted until about 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 13, 2024. Maui Fire Department responded to the fire at about 3 p.m. and they have begun mop-up operations. Firefighters continue to control traffic and provide any public assistance.
